Deposit Requirements

You may be asked to pay a deposit when opening an account. However, customers who have established a recent satisfactory payment record with Benton PUD may be excluded from the deposit requirement. A satisfactory payment record is no more than one late notice in the last 12 month period.

An identity validation and credit assessment will be conducted for customers who are new to Benton PUD.  If a satisfactory credit assessment is available, you may be excluded from the deposit requirement. 

If a deposit is required, the deposit may be refunded when you have established a record of prompt payment or when you terminate service with Benton PUD.
