For meter reading, maintenance and testing, we require good access to the meter base. For this reason, meter locations are limited to the front or within four feet of the front of the structure served. The front is the side of the structure facing the road or driveway serving the structure. Please contact Benton PUD's Engineering Department at 509-582-1230 when clarification of this policy is needed prior to installation of the meter base.
