You become a commercial customer of Benton PUD from the date you become responsible for electric service to your business. We will need information including address, billing name, date of service, telephone number and other pertinent information.

To start your service please call our offices in Kennewick at (509) 582-2175 or Prosser at (509) 786-1841, visit the office nearest you, or download the form below. Commercial accounts require a signed application before service can be connected. Additional information including UBI# and names of principles or partners are required.

If you are requesting service for a commercial account, or moving to another business location located in our service area, please complete the application.


Your first bill will include an account service charge to cover the cost of starting electric service at a new address. This charge applies both to customers new to our service area and current customers changing address within our service area.


If you are closing your business or moving out of our service area, please go to Terminating Service.
