The purpose of the testing is to ensure meter accuracy conforms to the standards established by Benton PUD policy and by the American National Standard for Electric Meters (ANSI).   Letters have been sent to customers whose meters will be tested.  The testing will performed by an independent contractor who will be working Monday thru Friday.  Our contractor will be easily identifiable, with Benton PUD contractor ID and signage on their vehicle.
