Benton PUD offering new Electric Vehicle (EV) rebate

Owning an electric vehicle, or EV, includes financial and environmental benefits.

Do you have questions about electric vehicles? We have answers.
Benton PUD has launched an Electric Vehicle Plan called EV Connections and is offering a $250 rebate for qualifying electric vehicle purchases.

According to Bloomberg NEF, by 2037, electric vehicle sales are expected to surpass those of internal combustion engines. While less than 1% of national annual car sales in 2018 were electric, as of December 2019, there were about 300 Washington registered all-electric vehicles in Benton County.

Benton PUD is charging forward with EV Connections and is offering a $250 customer rebate for buying or leasing a qualifying new all-electric vehicle.

EVs come with many benefits. Since they don’t require oil changes and other costs, owning an EV is expected to decrease vehicle maintenance costs.

Thanks to the Northwest abundant hydropower and our local nuclear power from Columbia Generating System, EVs are powered by nearly 100% carbon free energy, making them environmentally friendly.

Benefits to purchasing an EV include:

  • Efficiency (less fuel)
  • Reliability
  • Conveniently charge your EV at home
  • Low Maintenance
  • State and Federal Incentives
  • Benton PUD Customer Rebates
  • Very low carbon emissions
  • Quite ride with no engine noise
