Payment kiosk now available at Benton PUD

Benton PUD installed two self-serve payment kiosks to add to the list of ways customers can pay their bill.  The payment kiosks are located next to the entry ways at the Kennewick and Prosser office locations to provide easy access any time or day.

The kiosks accept cash, check, credit or debit card. The payment is applied to the account in real-time. There is no fee to use the kiosks.

To use the kiosk, the customer will need their account number or the barcode on their Benton PUD bill to access the payment service. The step-by-step prompts are available in English or Spanish.  Customers can use the kiosk to print a “FastPass” which provides a personal barcode for future use at the kiosk.
“The kiosks are another customer service that Benton PUD was able to initiate because of the implementation of advance meters in 2012 and SmartHub last year,” said Chad Bartram, Benton PUD general manager.
SmartHub is an online and mobile app payment service with account management, usage information and outage notifications tools.
