Response to COVID-19 concern

Benton PUD takes pride in delivering reliable customer service and wants to protect the safety of our employees and customers.

Recent public health concerns regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) are a top concern for Benton PUD.  While we continue to operate safely and provide reliable power to our community, we want our customers to know the measures we are taking to mitigate against possible adverse impacts from the COVID-19.

Benton PUD is monitoring information from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding COVID-19 and following federal, state, and local agency recommendations.  We are also collaborating with local agencies including the Benton-Franklin Health District to ensure we have the most recent information to keep employees informed and ensure their safety as well as our customers. Employees are equipped with hand sanitizers, cleaning wipes and disinfectant sprays and are encouraged to use them on frequently touched surfaces, and cleaning crews are focusing on sanitizing high-touch and high-traffic areas like doorknobs and common areas.

As a reminder, we offer several easy and convenient self-service payment options to pay your bill, including SmartHub, our SmartHub app, and our pay-by-phone system.  All can be done from the convenience of your home.
If you need to pay your bill in person our lobbies are open, and our payment kiosks are also available.
At this time, it is recommended you take the same measures you would to prevent the spread of a cold or the flu by following CDC recommendations such as:
  • Stay home when you’re sick
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your sleeve
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands
  • Clean frequently touched surfaces and objects
  • Follow social distancing protocols and avoid people who are sick
