We offer rebates for Benton PUD Energy Efficient Homes and ENERGY STAR® certified manufactured homes.  Rebates are valid through September 30, 2018 or until funding expires.

Benton PUD Energy Efficient Homes 

GEN18-6939-LOGO-Benton-PUD-Energy-Efficient-Home-2018-PNG.PNGA Benton PUD Energy Efficient Homes rebate is available for new, single-family homes that are certified 10% more energy efficient than the current Washington State Building Code.  Energy savings are achieved by upgrades to a home's:  shell, including windows, HVAC and smart thermostat, water heating, appliances, and lighting, including fixtures.  

The rebate amount is based on energy savings (in kWhs) as calculated through Bonneville Power Administration's Performance Path Calculator.

A home must be verified by a certified Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET) rater.

A Benton PUD Energy Efficient Home may also qualify for one of these programs:

  • ENERGY STAR® 3.1 (must use version 3.2 starting 7/1/2018)
  • Built Green®
  • Department of Energy (DOE) Zero Energy Ready Home

To apply for a rebate, please follow these steps:

  1. Complete a New Construction Home Rebate Application
  2. Attach Performance Path Calculator (and other qualified program certificate)
  3. Return the application and certificate 30 days after building is complete to:

ENERGY STAR Certified Manufactured Homes:  $1,200

ENERGY STAR® certified homes provide comfort that is unsurpassed in the manufactured home industry. They are built to save as much as 30 percent on heating bills through more insulation in ceilings, walls and floors, better windows and doors, specially designed ventilation system, better-sealed heating ducts and a reduction in drafts. Homes must be electrically heated and located in Benton PUD's service territory to receive the rebate.
