We offer rebates for ENERGY STAR® certified manufactured homes.  Rebates are valid until funding expires.

ENERGY STAR Certified Manufactured Homes:  $1,200 - $1,400

ENERGY STAR® certified homes provide comfort that is unsurpassed in the manufactured home industry. They are built to save as much as 30 percent on heating bills through more insulation in ceilings, walls and floors, better windows and doors, specially designed ventilation system, better-sealed heating ducts and a reduction in drafts. Homes must be electrically heated and located in Benton PUD's service territory to receive the rebate.

Manufactured Home Rebate Application

Pre 1976 Manufactured Home Replacement: $2,200 - $2,500

Manufactured homes that were build prior to 1976 may qualify for a disposal rebate when decommissioned and replaced with a new Northwest Energy Efficient Manufactured Home (NEEM). Homes must be electrically heated and located in Benton PUD's service territory to receive the rebate.

Where can I purchase ENERGY STAR® appliances, heat pumps, insulation, windows or doors?

Qualified appliance products can be found in most stores. Some retailers have partnered with ENERGY STAR® to train their sales staff about energy efficiency so they can provide you with advice about purchasing energy-efficient products for your home and office. What is ENERGY STAR®?

ENERGY STAR® is a government-backed program helping businesses and individuals protect the environment through superior energy efficiency. Results are already adding up. Americans, with the help of ENERGY STAR®, saved enough energy in 2005 alone to avoid greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to those from 23 million cars — all while saving $12 billion on their utility bills.

Can I install my own insulation, heat pumps, windows or doors and still receive the rebate?

No, all weatherization and HVAC measures must be performed by an Approved Benton PUD Contractor

Why should I purchase energy efficient appliances or make energy efficient home improvements?

The more energy efficient your home is, the less it costs to heat and cool and the lower your utility bills. Energy Efficient appliances will also help lower your utility bills.  Using less energy is also good for the environment because it helps reduce air pollution and conserve natural resources.

When will I receive the rebate?

  • Appliances:  Once the application (including the receipt) is completed and processed, the rebate will applied to the customer's Benton PUD account.  Exceptions may apply. 
  • Weatherization and Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC):  Rebates are provided to customers in the form of a credit on the project invoice from an Approved Benton PUD Contractor once the project is completed.
  • NEEM Certified Homes:  Once the application (including the Certificate of Compliance) is completed and processed, the rebate will be mailed to the customer within 30 days.
