Benton PUD complies with the requirements of the Washington Public Records Act. Our public records are available to members of the public for review, inspection, or as copies. Some records may be exempt from disclosure, either in whole or in part, in accordance with state (RCW 42.56) and/or federal law.
Many of our public records are available on the website. If you are unable to find a record on the website, you may submit a request for records via email or you may download our records request form and submit in person or via regular mail.
Requests made in person are accepted at our Kennewick office located at 2721 W. 10th Ave., or at our Prosser office located at 250 N. Gap Road, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Washington State law [RCW 42.56.070(9)] prohibits the disclosure and use of lists of individuals for commercial
purposes. The undersigned certifies that if he/she uses, or allows others to use, such records for commercial
purposes, they may violate the rights of the individuals listed and may be liable for damages. "Commercial
purposes" means that the person requesting the record(s) intends that the list will be used to communicate with
the individuals named in the record(s) for the purpose of facilitating profit-expecting activity.
I understand that by entering my First and Last name in this box which constitutes a legal signature,
that I have read and acknowledge the above disclosure prohibiting the use of lists of individuals for commercial purposes.

When a request for public records is received, we will respond within five business days, in one of the following ways:
- Providing the record(s) requested.
- Acknowledging receipt of the request and providing a reasonable estimate of time when the record(s) will be available. Note that additional time may be required to respond because of the need to clarify the request, locate and assemble the record(s) requested, notify third parties affected by the request, or determine whether any exemptions apply.
- Denying or partially denying the request. If a request is denied, we will provide an explanation of why, along with the applicable exemptions.
Please contact Benton PUD if you have not received a response within five business days to ensure this request was received.
